I Love this time of year! I love all the colors of the leaves changing- I love the crispness in the early morning air- (well, when I get up early enough to enjoy it!) I love the smell and taste of homemade pumpkin pie and banana bread.. mmmm... I love fall! I love to decorate my house in fun, and spooky things! I have to keep my spookiness on the down-low, my 2 year old gets a little nervous when he sees things that scream Boo! (I don't know why??? JK!) Enjoy the fun of the season! Summer Fun 2010

Here's a little of what we have been up to this summer- lot's of parades, fairs, a little camping and more! Cale is so fun to take places- he's having so much fun just discovering our world! We love this little guy!

Nothing like eating a little fried, greasy food at the fair! Mmmm... hotdogs.....

We went to the Utah State Fair with our friends The Armstrong's- it's fun to see Cale and Dylan become good little buddies!

We went camping with Mike's cousin Darrin and Emily, and their two little boys- It was so fun to see Cale and Carter playing together- such cute little buddies! We definately have to go camping again!They had so much fun playing in the tent, eating marshmellows and playing in the wind and rain-

Overall, we had a great summer- too bad our daddy had Kidney Stones for 9 weeks of summer! He just barely got them taken out! We are so glad they are finally gone! We had fun playing with our family and friends and are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

Yea! Cale got his very own potty! We bought it last night and he was so excited! We came home and he asked to go on his potty- I put him on, and he kind of just sat there, nothing happened- so we sat a little longer. I got a little bored and decided to start doing something, and just when I turned away, he started to piddle! I was so excited and happy for him! He was so proud! We called up both Grandma's and shared our exciting news! He said, "I pee pee on Potty!" He was so proud of himself! Let's hope this new found excitement of going on the potty really lasts! I can't wait to not have to change diapers! Yipee! What a cute little kid I have- so grown up! Love him!

Help! My child LOVES Mary Popkin's- he asks to watch the movie every day! He has now shortened the name to just "Popkins!" So cute! I can't help but give in to him!

My only wish is to wake up singing songs to the birds- I mean, who doesn't wake up in this good of a mood every day? I hope Cale doesn't think people are always this happy!

Counting My Blessings....

I just have to take a moment to count my many blessings- I am so lucky to be the mom of this great little boy! What an Angel I have! He is learning so much, and growing so fast, I know I'll look back and wonder where did all the time go? I love this little kid so very much and treasure the time I have to spend with him! What a blessing you are in my life! I love you, Cale!
What a blessing I have to have Mike in my life! He is such a great father and Husband- he works hard to provide us with all that we need. I am in awe at how patient and kind he is- something I definately need help with! I really appreciate all that he does for our family! You are such a great guy, and I love you!

Lastly, I am also so grateful to a wonderful Mom- as well as for Mike's parents. We couldn't have been raised by better people. What a blessing Mike's mom has been to help me out so much with Cale- I appreciate all her love and kindness! I only hope Cale knows how lucky and blessed we are to have such good people in our lives! I really love and appreciate all you do for us!

Happy Birthday to my Favorite 2 year old! Oh how I LOVE this cute little kid! What a fun day we had! We went on a picnic with Daddy, and then came home and made a cake- complete with a train on top! We had so much fun frosting the cake- Cale kept putting his knife in the frosting and licking it, and then said, "Mmmmm!" So cute!

At the park for our big Train Party! We had our party at the West Bountiful park- it is right by the railroad tracks, so everytime a train would pass, Cale would stop what he was doing and have to watch! It was a little hot and noisy, but so fun! Cale loved playing with his cousins,

eating ice cream, and opening up his "prizes"! He got lots of "Choo- Choo's" and kitchen food, as well as some tools for his tool bench- who couldn't be happier?!

Mike had a vendor from work offer to send him to Long Beach to tour their facilities- so I decided to go with him and spend the weekend. The weather was beautiful, it was so nice to get away for a few days- I missed the little guy terribly, but knew he was having a ball at Aunt Lori and Marci's houses!

We had so much fun just hangin' out with each other. We went to Hollywood one day, all I can say, is what a huge let-down that was!~ Wow! So trashy!! But we did go to the beach a couple of times, went shopping and just relaxed- so fun to get away!

Spring 2010

We started the tradition of going to the Zoo on our anniversary last year- so to keep with tradition, we headed there again this year! It was a little cold, but we had so much fun with Cale- he still wasn't sure of the animals- his favorite was probably the lemurs again!

We went down to Thanksgiving Point for the baby animal days- us and everyone else! It was fun to see Cale look at all the animals- he really just loved smelling the flowers that line the pathways! Too cute!

Mike took Cale up to the model train exhibit in Ogden this weekend. They had so much fun looking at all the trains. Cale loves trains, he calls them "Choo choo's"! They had so much fun playing with the trains, climbing on them and riding them- what an adventure!

Hardware Ranch

So we went up to Logan this last weekend- and went up to Hardware Ranch. It is this huge open field where they feed the elk that come down. They have a ton of elk here, but unfortunately we went at the end of the season, and so many of them had already started heading up into the mountains. It was fun to see them and to show Cale what wild life looks like!

We had a fun time going to Hardware Ranch. I hadn't been there since I was in Elementary- so it was fun to take Cale and see all the elk again. I want to try and keep doing fun things with Cale so he will have some fun memories of what we do as a family!

Bob the Builder!

We have a little obsession of "Bob the Builder" around our house, so anything that has to do with "Bob" is a big hit! You can only imagine his delight when he discovered the construction zone at the Gateway! Every time he sees Bob, he yells out, "Bob!" "Bob!" So cute!

So cute in his hard hat! It was a little big on him, with plenty of room to grow into it!

Sorry for the duplicate photo, still can't figure this thing out! Mike is convinced Cale needs a "Bob the Builder" themed birthday party this year! We'll see! July is still a few months away! Cale is such a sweet little boy! I am so amazed at how fast he is learning and growing!

We went to the Discovery Gateway a couple of weeks ago with Mike's cousin Ashley and her little cutie, Berkley. We had so much fun! There are so many fun things to do and see, we could have spent the whole day there! Here are some pictures of our fun day!

Good Bye Curls!!

Once upon a time,there was a sweet little boy with the cutest little curls....

But everyone knows that when the gel runs out, little curls are no more....

This is what happens to them!! They magically turn into a faux hawk!!

So sad! Cale got his first hair cut this week!! Mike had given me a gift certificate to Cookie Cutters to get his first haircut, I knew it was getting long- but I had been putting it off intentionally- basically so I could keep putting gel in it and getting it to curl! It was really so stinkin' cute! But alas, one has to realize that at the end of the day, when the gel is gone, so are the curls and you are left with a kid who looks like a little rug rat! :( Anyway, he was so good! The girl who cut it was darling, and made sure to give him a sucker, and watch his favorite, "Bob the Builder!" With treats and a good movie, who cares about losing your curls?! Right- luckily there were no tears from him, maybe I wanted to shed a few!! He looks so cute, such a little grown up boy! What a little sweetheart he is!

We have been a little busy this new year- so that is why it has taken so long for me to finally post something new! Cale got his cast off right before Christmas, so that made our Holidays even merrier and brighter! We had a great Christmas and yes, Cale is still enjoying his "Shish!" (Thanks again Santa!) We would have posted more pictures from Christmas Morning, however, anyone who has seen me in the mornings would appreciate us not posting any of the lovely sights!! (Thanks Mike for getting me in almost all of them!!)

I Believe....

I just have to write a quick little post- on how I believe in Santa and his helpers!

I was so sad, Mike and I had just bought Cale a fish tank for Christmas- knowing how obsessed he is with fish, and how he loves to say, "Shish"- we bought him an aqarium at the DI- It was only $7- and it looked really great! I was so excited, we came home, and on Saturday, I spent like an hour cleaning it all up- we filled it up with water and put it on a little cabinet in our family room. We were so excited to show him when he woke up from his nap! While we were trying to be so sneaky, Mike was adjusting it on the cabinet, and for some strange reason, the pressure in the tank, just popped the glass! Water and shards of glass came flooding out of it! We're talking TONS of water just pouring out of this tank!!! It was so crazy!! We both just kind of looked at each other-, not really knowing what to do!! We got out our shop vac and sucked it all up- but I was so sad! There went our great suprise for Cale for Christmas!! (Luckily, it was clean water, and no, there weren't any fish it in yet!)

We got our gigantic mess all cleaned up- and threw the great idea away. Needless to say, I haven't been in the Christmas Spirit- until now.

We just got back from running some errands tonight, and when we got home, there on our back porch was a large gift bag, with a tag on it that read, "To: Cale, From: Santa"- inside was an AQUARIUM!! It is so nice! It has all the rocks, coral and plants too! I think I was more suprised than Cale was!!

My heart is so full, I have tears in my eyes just thinking of how nice people can be! What a nice suprise!! I know I probably won't ever be able to thank this person in real life, but I hope that someday, I can do something that nice for someone else! It means so much to me- just to know that people are out there, who care about you, and love you. I think I have felt the "true meaning of Christmas" tonight- I truly believe that giving of yourself is the best gift! To this little helper of Santa, I say "thank you!" Thank you for teaching me and important lesson in life- to remember others, and to show how much they mean to you!

One More Week til' we are cast free!!

It's official! Only one more week until we get this dumb cast off! We are so happy! We can hardly wait to have our little guy running around again! He has been so great through this whole thing- he still manages to smile and giggle! (I have to admit, I am ready for it to be gone too- hauling him around is so dang heavy! Not to mention awkward with that dumb bar in the middle! We are so done with it!!)

I caught him putting his cereal inside the cab of his truck! So cute to see his chubby little fingers pick up each one and put it in- then he pushes it around! What a silly little kid! I guess it gives a new meaning to "Playing with your food!"

So happy to be crawling around! I love that little smile!

One Big Ouch!

I know there is nothing worse than to see your child in pain and know there is nothing you can do about it! Last Monday, Nov 16th- Cale fell off the back porch steps at his babysitter's house and broke his femur bone in his left leg. At first, I thought he had sprained his ankle, but little did I know it was much worse!

We took him up to Lakeview Hospital in the Emergency room- and they X-rayed him and found that he had definately broke his leg. They then transported us down to Primary Childrens to have an orthopedic surgeon look at it.

Turns out he has a spiral fracture in his femur bone- he had to have surgery to set the cast. We spent 2 whole days and 1 night at Primary Childrens because after the surgery that night, he broke out into a fever of 103.5! None of the doctors or nurses knew why- it was so scary! I have never felt such a hot baby! Scared me to death!!

Cale is now in a body cast from his armpits to his ankle- and to the knee on the other side. He has been such a little trooper through this whole thing! The doctor is confident it will heal quickly and he won't have any lasting effects from it- I am so thankful everything is okay. I am so glad he is such a good little boy and will heal well!

It breaks my heart to see him in his cast, but I am thankful for modern medicine and for the great staff at the hospital to help him out! I count my blessings every day that I am this little boy's mom- what an Angel I have been blessed with! We love this little guy so much and can't wait for him to be back running around and getting into everything! (Well kind of! :)!!

Each year on Halloween, Mike's company does a Big haunted house in their office- this year we met up with Brad, Chanda and Dylan and took the boys around- so fun!

Grandma Linda made it for Carson when he was Cale's age, and since then- it has become tradition to have all the grandkids wear it! He looked so dang cute!! It was such a fun day!

Things are going good for us right now- Cale is now 15 months old and is walking and jabbering all day! He is so curious about everything! He loves to play in my bathroom drawers, in our tupperware drawer and tease Maggie! He loves Fish, anything with fish! He can even try to say fish! He is such a good little boy- he now folds his arms when we say prayers! Too cute! A couple of weeks ago in church, he had his little car on the bench, and started making his motor noise as he pushed it all over! Pretty soon, the little girl next to us had her motor going too! Needless to say, it wasn't very quiet, or reverant! Sorry Dad!!

We went camping with Mike's cousin Darren and his wife Emily- Cale had so much fun playing with his second cousin Carter! It was fun to see the two little boys together! They had fun driving the trucks all over the picnic table benches and into the dirt! Such cute little boys!

We went to Jackson Hole earlier this year- with the Hutcheon's and the Vernon's for our annual cabin trip! This year we hiked up to a spring that goes off periodically- apparently when we were there, it was just going, it never really stopped! Oh well- it was cool to see it anyway! Goodbye Grandpa Nish

I know it has been forever since my last post- and I am sorry! It has been a crazy summer, and my ever so slow computer has not helped! I wanted to devote a special post to yy Grandpa Nish who passed away on July 29th (Marci's Birthday) he was 97 years old. What a great man he was! I am so blessed to have gotten to have him as part of my life for so long- he was such a great grandpa! I am so happy that Cale got to meet him- these pictures were taken last year, right after Cale was born, and I am so glad we took the time to take them- I will always cherish them!

Before I got pregnant with Cale, I asked my Grandpa to give me a blessing to help us become parents. He said that he "would be honored to!" He couldn't stand, so he sat down in his chair, I was on the floor, and he blessed me that "the desires of my heart would be granted." Such powerful words, that at the time, I had no idea of how important they would be! What a blessing it is to have such a great heritage of faith!

I am so glad I have the knowledge that I will see him again, and that I know he is in such a better place! What I would have given to have been there when he saw my Grandma again! They loved each other so much! I am so happy to have had the chance to have him as my Grandpa! Sweet Dreams Grandpa! We'll see you again, soon! We love you!

It's official! Cale is crawling all over the place! He's a crawling machine! He is pulling himself up to the furniture and tries to scoot along it- it's a little crazy!! He crawls back and forth from one end of our house to the next- still wondering if I or my house will really survive?!! He is still a smiley little guy and has 2 teeth, hopefully more will be coming soon! What a little angel! I love this little guy so much- every day he learns something new, and it amazes me how exciting the world can be through his eyes!!

Nine Months Old!

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma Linda's- Cale had so much fun just holding and eating the eggs! I had fun eating the candy inside! Yum!

Nine months!!? Really where has the time gone? Cale is growing so fast and getting so big- yet still no crawling! We are so happy to announce that he has gotten his first tooth! YEAH! So proud! He is also such a good sleeper- he sleeps throughout the whole night, in his own bed! Guess that's why I can't get him to nap at all during the day! But hey, I'll take a good nights sleep anyday! Did I mention how much I love this little guy?!!

Our ward Christmas party was last Saturday, we had a big breakfast. It was pretty fun. We dressed Cale up in his little reindeer outfit- he looked pretty cute! I wanted him to sit on Santa's lap and smile, but this is what happens when you wait too long! I love this time of year- and now it seems like everything is so much more fun and meaningful- I love this little guy of mine- he is one sweet little kid, and I am one lucky mom!

I am so thankful for this little bundle of cute joy that is in my life- for all the good times and even the "not so fun times!"

I love this time of year- I get to reflect on all of my many wonderful blessing that I am so lucky to enjoy- I have a great family! A wonderful and loving husband, who is such a great help and strength (especially at 2:00 in the blessed A.M. when he has to help get a bottle ready and change Cale!) He's great!

I have such a sweet little angel baby- I couldn't ask for a more patient and mellow baby- he is great to let me learn how to be a mom on him! I am so thankful for wonderful friends and family who help us out so much- thank you ALL!

We tried to take some videos of little Cale's playing with his toys-but Mike and I decided we sound so stupid on them- we decided to save all of you the pain of having listen to us make fools of ourselves!~He is discovering his toys- it's so cute to watch how he sits and looks at them- and gets so excited just to look and listen to them! It makes me laugh! He is starting to blow bubbles and tries to talk to you- it just makes me smile!

Everyday is a new adventure! His little smile just brightens my day! I love being a mom!

I just downloaded my playlist- some of my favorite tunes- I'm pretty proud of myself for figuring it out all own my own, since I am compter stupid these days! Hope you enjoy some of these tunes, some of them may take you back a few years! Oh well! Enjoy!

Okay, so I got tagged by my friend Jayme- thanks Jayme! Here goes a lot of info about Mike and I, even if you didn't want to know us! Oh well!

1. Where did you meet your husband? Well, we met through my roommate. I was living in Salt Lake working in Park City, and she introduced Mike to me- they had served their missions together.
2. How long did you date? We did the whole "dating thing" pretty fast! We dated a whole 3 weeks before we got engaged, and then had a 5 month engagement! It was pretty fast, but I wouldn't change it! (I would however, suggest to anyone single out there, keep your engagement short!)
3. How long have you been married? We have been married now for 7 years! I look at our wedding photos, and have to laugh at how young we look!
4. What does he do that surprises you? Pretty much everything! There aren't really too many dull moments at our house! He is pretty entertaining! I am amazed at what a good father he is- he loves Cale so much!
5. What is my favorite feature about him? I love his funny personality, witt and charm! He is very charismatic! (Have you ever seen him dance in parking lots? It's pretty funny when I am in a good mood- otherwise, not so funny!)
6. What is my favorite quality about him? I love how sensitive and tender he is. He is very caring and kind to just about everyone!
7. What Nicknames does he have for me? Sweatheart (yes I did spell Sweat- not sweet. there is a story about that!) Skip, and Poops!
8. What is his favorite food? Well, when we first got married, I would have said French Dip Sandwiches- JK! Only because I used to make them all of the time! But now, I would have to say a good yummy hamburger!
9. What is his favorite sport? Basketball, but he really likes watching Women's LaCross! JK
10. What are his favorite things to do? He likes to play Guitar Hero- I think he's mastered them all! He also likes to add and subtract, and create spreadsheets!
11. What are some of your favorite things to do as a couple? We really like to sit home and fold laundry! It seems that's about all we do lately! We like to everything as long as it's together! JK
12. How many children do you have? We have one sweet little boy, Cale Garrison Frost. He is such an angel! We also have 2 dogs, Mags and Skip- they are kind of like kids too!
13. What are some your husbands hidden talents? He does a really good snake interpretation- he tries to slither into bed and scare me! I think it's hilarious! He also dances pretty well- I think he should have been on the drill team in high school!
14. How old is your husband? He just turned 30 this year!
15. Who said I love you first? He did, while standing at my door. I didn't know what to say, so I just shut the door! He still teases me about this, to this very day!
16. What is his favorite music? He likes a combination of tunes- anything from Don Williams and Johnny Cash- to Metallica! We like singing along to Frank Sinatra, every once in a while! He also likes a little Jim Croche here and there!
17. What do you admire most about your husband? He is very patient and understanding. He is just a genuinely good guy- and I love that!
18. What is his favorite color? I would probably say orange, although I think he likes almost any color, as long as he doesn't have to paint it on our walls!
19. Will he read this? I hope so! Now that I have shared all his secrets- I hope he still loves me!

Fun at the Cabin!

We went to our friend Ashly's cabin up in Jackson Hole, over Conference Weekend- it was so fun just to get away for a couple of days. It was rainy and pretty cold- but we had fun just hangin' out at the cabin! I had fun dressing Cale in all kinds of warm clothes- he didn't seem to like being all dressed up! I think this hat & sweater are so cute! I couldn't wait to dress him in it! Thanks for the good times guys! We had a blast!

Yummy Burgers!!!

So I am totally loving this new little burger joint- called "Five Guys Burgers and Fries"- have any of you heard of it, or better yet, been there? Wow! It was seriously the best hamburger and fresh cut fries I have ever tried! We went there the other night, just for a quick bite- it was really fresh and so yummy! I think Iam going to make Mike take me there again- and soon! Anyway, if you get a craving for a yummy hamburger and fresh fries- this is the place. They are in Fort Union, by the new Pei Wei- give em a try- you'll love it!!

Broken Camera

Okay, so I know I am not the best blogger out there, but I do have a pretty good excuse- no. 1- I don't have much spare time anymore, and no. 2- our camera got dropped and it broke- on
Cale's blessing day, of all days! So I am waiting to get a new one, so we can actually take more photos of this cute little guy! I am missing it terribly! He is one happy little guy,and his smile can brighten anyone's day! We love him sooo much!! I'll post some photos as soon as I can!

Hello Everyone!
Baby Cale is finally here! He's actually a month old today! He was born on July 13th at 2:51 pm- he weighed 8lbs. 7 oz. He has a little bit of blonde hair- and dark eyes. We're not sure what color they are, so maybe someday they will actually be a color, and not just dark!
It's so crazy! I am absolutely just loving him, and being a mom! It's my favorite job! He is such an angel! Mike is loving being a dad- seeing him hold him, just melts my heart!
I am oh so happy to report that the "Elephant feet" did go down, and we are all back to normal- thank heavens! And yes, my uterus is no longer "irritated!" (Thanks Adhis for the comment!)

Getting Ready for Baby!!!

Okay, so I am not the best blogger on the web- but I am willing to make an effort! Seems like time is just flying by! My feet are swelling up huge- thanks to the heat! All I can say is that I am really getting ready for this little guy to come!

I promised you I would post a picture of his nursery- so hopefully this will do! I don't have his crib or bedding yet, but I should have it here shortly! Right now, we are doing good just to have the room all painted! I still need to add a few letters to the alphabet wall, but we're working on that! (Basically, I've just ran out of ideas or the energy to get it done!)

I have now been in labor 5 times! Yes, that's right.. 5 times!!! My doctor says that the next time, he won't stop me! Gee thanks! They say I have an "Irritated Uterus" whatever that means, but that the contractions just start but I am only to a 4- so until I reach 38 weeks they won't keep me going..... nice!

I am just really getting ready for him to come!!!

First time Blogger

Okay, so I have to admit, it is about time I join all of my Tech Savy friends in this whole world of blogging! Ashly, Cyd and Carolyn- I know you will all be so proud of me! I am finally doing it!

Time is going by- our little guy is due on July 18th and we are getting so excited! We can't wait to meet him! Mike is having fun finishing up his nursery, and I am just getting bigger and bigger each day! I tease everyone and willingly admit, it looks like I swallowed a basket ball!

We are really excited for this little one to join our family! Maggie and Skippee are pretty excited too! I think they know something very special is about to come into our family! We count our blessings to finally be able to become parents and cannot wait for him to come!!!

We really like our home here in Bountiful. We especially love our neighbors- Esther and Miriam Berry! They are two of the cutest little ladies you've ever met! Their yards are gorgeous and we all know how much I appreciate that! I am having fun out in my yard too! It has been nice to have some nice weather to get out and enjoy yardwork!
